Transitioning to Vocational Evangelism
This is required for men who are joining the GWP. Others invtied are men interested in transitioning into vocational evangelism either with the GWP or somewhere else. Or if you simply have an interest in the topics covered.
These topics are covered:
- Your desire for sinners to hear the Gospel.
- What is your message?
- Who is your audience?
- Your goal for your audience.
- Itinerant evangelism.
- Consistency and the pastoral ministry that happens through your evangelism.
- Ministry Partner Development [fundraising].
- The role of the evangelist in the Great Commission.
- Your new role as a minister.
- Spiritual disciplines (Acts 6:4).
- Prayer.
- Study of the Word.
- Leading your family. How they are blessed by your new role.
- Your schedule.
- Incrementally increasing your evangelistic schedule to get to a vocational schedule.
- Your budget.
- Your impact on your hearers in the moment. Seeing the big picture of your work. The ripple effect.
- Recruiting a team.
- Interactions with the authorities.
- Navigating the changes in your relationships as an evangelist.
- Your relationship with:
- Your Pastor
- The local and universal Church.
- Your wife and family.
- The Civil Magistrate.
- The Police and other authorties.
- You should walk out Friday with a clear plan of what to do to begin transitioning into vocational evangelism.
